Nick Deaver, a West Texas native, established his architectural practice in Austin after working with the renowned Centerbrook Architects in Connecticut. His diverse portfolio includes residential, academic, and commercial projects, earning him 7 national and 19 regional design awards. Notably, his LeanToo design won a 2021 National AIA Housing Award. Nick's work has been featured in publications like The New York Times and Dwell. A Texas Tech architecture graduate, Nick is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
Jes Deaver, with roots in New England and Texas, combines her passion for people, land stewardship, and storytelling in her architectural work. Fluent in Spanish, she volunteered in Nicaragua, strengthening her connection to the Earth. Jes has written for Texas Architect and served as the 2020 AIA Austin Women in Architecture Committee Chair. She has worked on award-winning projects at Pfeiffer Architects and co-presented on resilience at Texas Tech University. Jes holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin. She is also certified by NCARB and actively contributes to disaster response teams.
